hello it me again and i try to understand the following article

http://www.missouri.edu/~manringn/personal/Publications/Gear%20Pump%20Paper.pdf

i tried to understand the equation number (12) the figure is number 3

i find ls=(rp2^2-ra2^2)^1/2 - rp2 sin(alpha)

i found this with the cosinus theorem

if you have an idea how to find the good solution

it ll be nice
