Equation with absolute value: |b + 2| < -1

there is no solution ... the absolute value of anything is always > 0.

"no solution" means just that. There are NO values for the variable for which the statement is true.

"b > 0" means that the original statement is true whenever the value of b is greater than 0.

So, "no solution" and "b > 0" definitely do NOT mean the same thing.

Please re-read Skeeter's response, and then decide which is the correct answer.
