im not really sure on what to do here . so anyones help will be fully appreciated . thank you
the problem is : find an equation of variation where "y" varies directly as "x", and y = 2 when x =10 .

"y" varies directly as "x"These words should ring in your head. Whenever you see them, don't even keep reading the problem. Stop! Write down "y = k*x". THEN, go back and read the rest of the problem statement.

In that problem all you have to do is use the formula that tkhunny gave you and plug the numbers in like this
2=k(10) and then you put 2/10 then you divide it and you get your answer for k.
