1. One angle is 22 less than its complement.
2.A right triangle has acute angles whose measures are in the ratio 1:5. Find the measure of the angles.
I need help on knowing how to set it up.

I need help on knowing how to set it up.

1) Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees. If we let one angle be x degrees, then the other is x - 22 degrees. Adding them should give 90 degrees, so:
x + x - 22 = 90
Solve for x to get one angle, then subtract 22 from it to get the other.
2) The acute angles of a right triangle add up to 90 degrees. If we let x equal the smaller angle, then the other angle is 5x. So we can write:
x + 5x = 90
Solve for x to get the smaller angle, then multiply it by 5 to get the other.
