My first problem is:

1) log (10,000) = ?

Is the correct answer 4?

The other one is:

2) Given g(x) = x2 + 3x and h(x) = (x + 3) / 2, find (h o g)(-1)

HUH? Is all I gotta say!

log(10000) = log(10^4) = 4*log(10) = 4*1 = 4

g(x)=x2+3x
h(x)=(x+3)/2

Find (h o g)(-1)
g(-1) = (-1)^2 + 3(-1) = 1 - 3 = -2
h(-2) = ((-2) + 3)/2 = 1/2
