hello everybody, could you please explain me how can I differentiate the equation of a circle, ellipse and hyperbola from each other?
thank you so much.

A circle has the form (x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2 an elips is the same exept it has a demominator ((x-h)^2)/a^2 +((y-k)^2)/b^2 =1 and r is always 1

and a hyperbola is like an ellips with a minus instead of a plus ((x-h)^2)/a^2 -((y-k)^2)/b^2 =1
