i'm going to take this class next semester and i was wondering if someone could give me a basic idea of what to expect.

the course description says:
This is a course in ordinary differential equations. Topics include first order ordinary differential equations, linear second order ordinary differential equations, systems of differential equations, numerical methods and the Laplace transform.

but i don't really know what all those terms mean.

is it kinda like the calc 1, 2, 3 classes? cause i really liked those and did well in them :)

I think a major point of the course is to learn those terms, what they mean, and how to use the related techniques!

If you want specifics, try going to the college bookstore and flipping through the required textbook. You should find that, at least in some manner, the course is vaguely reminiscent of integral calculus, when you solved things like "If the accerlation is a(t) = (some function), with a(0) = 2, then what is the velocity at t = 10?"

Have fun! :D
