Is "x" in your problem a "multiplication sign" - or a "variable"?
On the computers, the multiplication sign is generally designated as "*". So "5 multiplied by 10" will be written as "5 * 10".
Please show us your work - indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we know where to begin to help you.
In the meantime, review "order of operation" - sometimes referred to as "PEMDAS".
