If 2*6=4, and 4*1=7, and 8*3=1, then what does 5*5 equal? Last problem on my worksheet. Thanks!

Re: Weird algebra question

Hello Coxswain:

At the top of this board's index, you will find a post titled, "Read Before Posting!!".

Please, read it.

It outlines your responsibilities for seeking help at this web site.

The main points of that post are (1) we don't do your homework, and (2) you make it very difficult for people to help you when you keep your knowledge and attempts secret.

After you read your responsibilities, then please come back and show us what you've been able to accomplish so far on this exercise. It would be even better to also say something about why you're stuck.

Cheers,

~ Mark :)

Since, in decimal arithmetic and under normal conditions, none of the stated equalities is actually true, it might help if you provided the missing contextual information. Thank you.
