Help me to do this equations, and i will be very much appreciated if u can show me the theory....

8(2 1/2x - 3/4) - 1/4(1 - x) = 1/2
10(1 - x/10) - (10 - x) - 1/100 (10 - x) = 0.05

8(2 1/2x - 3/4) - 1/4(1 - x) = 1/2
First, distribute the coefficients.
20x - 6 - 1/4 + (1/4)x = 1/2
Now combine like terms.
(81/4)x - 25/4 = 1/2
Add 25/4 to both sides.
(81/4)x = 27/4
Finally, multiply both sides by 4/81.
x = 3


10(1 - x/10) - (10 - x) - 1/100 (10 - x) = 0.05
Again, distribute.
10 - x - 10 + x - 1/10 + (1/100)x = 1/20
Combine like terms.
(1/100)x - 1/10 = 1/20
Add 1/10 to each side.
(1/100)x = 3/20
Multiply each side by 100.
x = 15
