y = 2x + 9
y = 7x + 10
I know that I need to solve one equation for X so I'll choose the second----> Why,
y = 7x + 10
-7x + y = 10
-7x = -y +10
x = 1/7y + 10/7
This is where I get confused (that is if the above is even correct)
Taking the first equation I enter 1/7y + 10/7 for X.
y = 2(1/7y + 10/7) + 9
y = 3/7y + 20/7 + 9
y = 3/7y + 83/7
4/7y = 83/7
y = 83/7 * 7/4
y = 581/28
Which can't be correct and is a total disaster. Haha please help me.
