The letter A

When someone says to me one hundred and one I always want to say one what--like one hundred and 1 tenth ...

Come on, the answer is not too hard to figure out. I may even be wrong.

The answer was not too difficult for you.
That is not the point. You will try to hide your answers from now on so you don't spoil them for others, I hope.

I say 101, ie one hundred and one. Who in their right mind says "one hundred one"? That's my answer and I'm sticking to it

I say twenty-five, not twenty and five. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes, so do I. Note the use of the hyphen.

But I have learnt something today. Apparently, according to Wikipedia, 101 can be said both ways. I have just never heard it spoken, or seen it written, without the "and".

So, apparently there are two possible acceptable answers to my puzzle, 101 or 1000.

Unless you can't spell, then the answer might be 8 (ate). ?

Another thing I learnt recently, in my Beginner French class, is how to count in French.

Did you know that 90 in French is "quatre-vingt-dix" which translates basically to "four twenty (and) ten"? I found that fascinating!
