A basketball team has won 50 games of 75 played. The team still has 45 games to play. How many of the remaining games must the team win in order to win 60% of all games played during the season?

Present Situation

50 wins / 75 games

End of Season Situation

(50 wins + x wins) / (75 games + 45 games) = 0.60 win/game

Solve for x.
x had better be a Whole Number. Why?

The way I see it, they could handle a losing streak of 8, but they'd better start playing at 60% after that. OR, they could lose the next 23, as long as they win 100% after that. What a season THAT would be!
