I can't seem to get this one, the fraction is giving me trouble.

5x + (3/2)y = 7

(a) (?, 8) (b) ([4/5 ], ?)

Thanks

5x + (3/2)y = 7
(?,8)

5x +(3/2)8 =7

5x +24/2 =7

5x +12 =7

.....over to you

5x + (3/2)y = 7

(b) ([4/5 ], ?)

5(4/5) +(3/2)y =7

4 + 3/2 y =7
3/2 y = 7-4

3/2 y = 3

y= 3 (2/3)

y= 2

thank you so much I add the wrong side. I start with the 5x but I thought I was wrong.
