Rancher Gonzales hires some workers to put up a fence around her ranch. On the first day, she hired four experienced carpenters and six appresntices, and they completed 420 feet of fencing. The next day,she hired five experienced carpenters and three apprentices and they completed 390 feet of fencing.
For simplicity, assume that workers all work independently, so that the amount of fencing completed is simply the sum of the amounts completed by each individual. Also assume that each experienced carpenter does the same amount of wark and that each apprentice does the same amount of work.
