How do I solve the following for x?

1
----------
1-x
----- - 1
x

Second One :
1
1 - -----
x-1
---------------
1
-----
x-1

I know this is supposed to be very basic, but I am really struggling trying to break it down. I know some how I have to multiply by common demonitators, but I just am very confused how to do this, it has been a while!

Without an "equals" and something on the other side of it, there is no way to solve for a value of x.

Are you sure those were the instructions: "solve the equations"? Or are you perhaps supposed to "simplify the expressions"...?

Thank you.

Eliz.
