Hello. I'm a little bit confused on what I need to do. My algebra teacher gave us a couple of days to complete the assignment. The problem is:(7a-2b) to the power of 2. I eventually got to the answer of 49a-196b plus 4b. I really would appreciate it if anybody could tell me if I answered the problem right or wrong. If I did get it wrong, I would also appreciate it if someone could show me step-by-step what to do. Thank you!!!!

The Ends:

You squared the numbers. Why didn't you square the letters?

The Middle:

No clue where you got that. You'll have to show us.

Hello, Alexandra Chavez!

The problem is: \(\displaystyle \,(7a\,-\,2b)^2\)
Don't blame your teacher or your book or the current NASDAQ quotations . . .

You have: \(\displaystyle \,(7a\,-\,2b)(7a\,-\,2b)\)

Do you have really have difficulty with that?

Ok, Mizz Chavez:

(4 + 5)
times
(4 + 5)

4*4 + 4*5 + 5*4 + 5*5

For you to decipher
