Solve with Grouping Symbols

2x+4=2(2=x)????
Do you perhaps mean
2x+4=2(2+x)
which is an identity?
2x+4 = 4+2x = 2x+4
Since it is, it can't be "solved." Do you have an example of another similar problem which you have solved? No grouping symbols are needed here unless you mean
2(x+2)=2(2+x)
