solve for x

my work below
3ax=d-4cx+b
3ax+4cx=d+b

what do i do now to solve for x? am i on the right path?

You’re doing fine. Now just factor x out of the two expressions on the left:

x(3a + 4c) = d + b

Finally, divide both sides by (3a + 4c) to get x by itself:

x = (d + b)/(3a + 4c)
