I'm in summer school for algebra 2 and need help with a worksheet.
I have to show my work..
Simplify each equation.
22) 6/ab+8/a
23) 5/6v+7/4v
24) 5/r+7
25) 2x/3y+5
26)
27)
28) 3/4q-2/5q-1/2q
29) 11/9-7/2w-6/5w
30) 7/y-8-6/8-y
31) a/a-4-3/4-a

You had better get started. What's your plan? Did you ake Algebra I?

Adding fractions is adding fractions. Give it a shot.

If you can get 26 and 27, I'll be very impressed.

That clearly means you must show YOUR work...not ours...

a/b + c/d = (ad + bc) / (bd) : do you "follow" that?
If not, you need classroom help.

Important: a/bc is NOT same as a/(bc) ; a/bc means do a/b first, then multiply result by c

These are not equations. Equations always contain an equals sign.

Your worksheet should have instructed you to simplify each expression.

Denis makes a good point. When typing algebraic fractions with a keyboard, we must use grouping symbols around numerators and denominators to be clear.

Please edit your post by inserting grouping symbols where needed. If you do not understand what we mean by this, let us know. 8-)

By the way, do you know how to add two numerical fractions, like 3/5 + 2/7 ?

Finally, in future requests for help, please remember to tell us where you are stuck on each exercise. Otherwise, it's hard for us to decide where to begin helping you. If you want the best help quickly, please post your exercises in separate threads and show what you've done so far on each of them.
