differentiate the function y=7e^x+(8/cuberoot(x))

Also... what's the answer to this one? f(x)=2^60
I thought I knew how to do it, but I keep getting the incorrect answer.... and I know this is an easy one.

Please show us what you tried, on each of these.

In general, we provide guidance, not answers. 8-)

Nevermind about the first one, I got it. 7e^x- 8/(3x^4/3)

The second one I got 118^59.... but it's not right.

Have you learned yet that f(x) is the slope of f(x) ?

What does the graph of y = 1152921504606846976 look like?

Nevermind about the first one, I got it.

7e^x- 8/(3x^4/3)

\(\displaystyle \text{No, the exponent for x must have grouping symbols around it, }\)
\(\displaystyle \text{as well as the grouping symbols around the whole denominator, }\)
\(\displaystyle \text{such as:}\)

7e^x - 8/[3x^(4/3)] or

\(\displaystyle 7e^x \ - \ \dfrac{8}{3\bigg{x}^{\frac{4}{3}}}\)
.
