I'm very confused, and don't know how to solve. I'm working with some classmates and this is my first time seeing this.

Find an equation y=mx+b for the line whose graph is sketched .

Number m =
Number b =

Eyeball problem.

You should know that the y-intercept is 'b'. Your line appears to intersect the y-axis at (0,5). b = 5

Youdo the slope. Hint: It's positive!

lol yeah I really do wear glasses. :D

Thanks for teaching me something new about the y-intercept is b. I'll be sure to remember that.
Now, I see the (0,5).

The other line appears to intersect at the -7,0 mark, but I don't see any positives?

It looks like (-6,0) to me. You can use this to find the Slope "m".

(0,5) and (-6,0) leads to (0-5)/(-6-0) = (-5)/(-6) = 5/6 = m

All you need is two points. As long as they are on the line, you can find the slope.
