    Summary Value?

    Given student scores of 4.0, 3.7, 3.7, 3.7, and 1.0 on a quiz (with averageof 3.2, whereas both the median and the mode are 3.7), is one of these summaryvalues truly in the middle of the distribution?

    How can the median NOT be in the middle? It rather has a definition.

    This question points out the dangers of using poorly defined terms. "middle"?
