I would just like to check if my answer is correct.

Problem is Plot the point (-4,5). Identify the domain and range.

Domain is x=-4
Range is y=5

thx

Why do you doubt?

Possibly, tkhunny, because that answer seems "too easy". :-D

But, Original Poster, this may be exactly why the instructor assigned the exercise. Sometimes the (mathematically) "easy" questions (for the pros) are the (conceptually) difficult questions (for the students). This exercise may be meant to strengthen your understanding of the concept.

Thank you for showing your work!

That's a very strange question. "Domain" and "range" are terms for a function, not individual points. Of course, since a function can be defined as a "set of ordered pairs" if you mean, not (-4, 5) but {(-4, 5)} then you have a function (consisting of a single pair) with domain -4 and range 5.
