Many have looked at the ranch for the first time and then exclaimed, "You live in a junk yard!"

Well, true, but one man's junk is another man's …

Or, expressed as a rhetorical, when was the last time a major project arose at your place, and you were able to walk around the compound gathering everything that you needed (i.e., no trips to Home Depot)?

Sometimes, just assembling stuff for the fun of it leads to novel results!

Are those custom designed speakers underneath the toilet seats??? Looks like they could crank out some tunes...

According to the source, everything used to construct that vehicle came from collected junk.

If those speakers were custom designed, they weren't designed for that vehicle!

A neighbor has a tow truck, and for decades he hauled vehicles onto his property (mostly from route 66, and later I-40).

We barter work with him (several cords of wood chopped and split each year; brake jobs, electrical, plumbing, built a second hen house, et cetera), and he pays with cars, sometimes.

Bruce has started converting some of these to electric. We can hardly wait for funding to get our hands on that new, flexible solar-panel laminate. We want to coat the entire upper half of the car's body with it!
