forum users "being sent to the corner"

As of late, I have noticed a significant number of forum users "being sent to the corner."

I propose that it would be more pragmatic for the "teacher" just to walk back to the
corner and instruct those users right in front of them.

They are usually made between tutors in reference
to a silly blunder or a bad pun.

No, you are "obviously" missing me being facetious about the whole situation
of trading barbs back and forth between tutors.

If anything, I would have expected a reply post to mine to include the following:

"lookagain, I suspect you were being facetious and/or flippant in your post."
