A logic problem challenge

The wife said to her husband, "Here is a variety of bait, a tackle box, a fishing pole
with fishing line, a fishing hook, and the pond right behind our house stocked with fish.
You can go fishing there before sunset today if you complete my list of chores for you.

Her husband completed her list of chores for him before sunset that same day,
but he did not go fishing that day.

I see no logic problem there. She said he could go fishing, not that he had to. He just didn't feel like it!

If making presumptions and assumptions (such as in this case) do not fall under logic,
then you can be backed for making that statement. Else not.

She said the house is stocked with fish. Why go fishing?
