Is there a specific way we tell what type of triangle isdescribed in an equation, just by looking at the coordinates?

My textbook keeps asking me to identify what type oftriangle they are describing using the equation.

Thanks for the help!

Generally, no. Just looking at the coordinates of the vertices of a triangle is not going to tell you (in most cases) what kind of triangle you've got.

I'm confused by your use of the word "equation" here....

Please give us an example of the type of problem you're working on, and tell us what YOU think you might need to do to determine the kind of triangle.
