In my book while solving a problem I came across this step- (∏-2)/4 = (1/(2^2-1)) + (1/(4^2-1)) +(1/(6^2-1)).... -(1) how is the next step like this - (∏-2)/4 =(1/1.3) + (1/3.5) + (1/5.7).... -(2) I omitted the rest of the details ,it is a problem in engg.mathematics,in exercise on fourier series.. how did the 2nd step follows after 1st one ,I don't get it.
I KNOW I AM VERY POOR IN MATHEMATICS,ANY HELP IS REALLY APPRECIATED

(∏-2)/4 = (1/(2^2-1)) + (1/(4^2-1)) +(1/(6^2-1)).... Does not equal to (∏-2)/4 =(1/1.3) + (1/3.5) + (1/5.7)
