18. Find the circumference of the circle if the square has an area of 144 m2. Give your answer to the nearest tenth. Use 3.14 for
mc157-2.jpg
.

19. What is the ratio of the circumferences for two circles with areas 6π m2 and 150π m2?

20. Find the measure of
mc042-2.jpg
.

21. Each dimension of a rectangular family room is 3.5 times larger than a rectangular bedroom. If it costs $312 to carpet the bedroom, how much would it cost to carpet the family room with the same carpet?

22. Each dimension of a larger rectangular field is 4.5 times greater than a smaller rectangular field. If it costs $176 to seed the smaller field, how much would it cost to seed the larger field with the same type of seeds?

If the area is as given, then what is the value of the length of one side? Then what is the value of the diameter of the circle? Then what is the radius? Then what is the circumference?

19. What is the ratio of the circumferences for two circles with areas 6π m2 and 150π m2?
What is the formula for the area, in terms of the radius or diameter? What is the formula for the circumference, in terms of the radius or diameter? What can you do with these?

Is there any other information for this triangle?

21. Each dimension of a rectangular family room is 3.5 times larger than a rectangular bedroom. If it costs $312 to carpet the bedroom, how much would it cost to carpet the family room with the same carpet?
Draw a rectangle for the bedroom, with length L and width w. What then is the expression for the area? Draw another rectangle for the family room. What expressions, in terms of L and w, will stand for the length and width of this second rectangle? What will then be the expression for its area? What proportion can you set up?

22. Each dimension of a larger rectangular field is 4.5 times greater than a smaller rectangular field. If it costs $176 to seed the smaller field, how much would it cost to seed the larger field with the same type of seeds?
This one works just like the previous one.

Please reply showing all of your work and progress so far. Thank you! ;)
