What formula do you have for relating linear dimensions and areas of similar figures? How far have you gotten in applying this information?

You have a formula for the the area in terms of the base and the height. Where are you stuck in plugging the numbers into the formula?

Do you have a formula for this? If not, how far have you gotten in using the Pythagorean Theorem to find the height of this triangle?

What are their areas? (Plug the given numbers into the formula they gave you.) What then is the ratio? (Plug the numbers you just found into the indicated ratio.)

To be fair, the original poster ("OP") had posted the exercises as twenty-some separate posts, taking up the entire board display. To allow other posters' questions to be visible, I'd compiled some of the questions into this one thread. Sorry. :oops:
