Hey guys, how do you graph this problem x+ i(1-x) on an argand diagram?
I have no idea where to start

You should absolutely know this much: \(\displaystyle z=x+{\bf{i}}y\) so \(\displaystyle z=x+{\bf{i}}(1-x)\).

Therefore, what does the graph of \(\displaystyle y=1-x\) look like?

but what happens to the real part since y=1-x is the imaginary part, do you only graph the imaginary part?

The real part is \(\displaystyle x\) and the imaginary part is \(\displaystyle 1-x\).
The graph is a line.
