John has to win a 3 game series of tennis to win a new car. His opponents' names are Kat and Ellie.

In the 3 game series, John can choose to play either Kat first or Ellie first. If John chooses to play Kat first, then he will play Kat, then Ellie, then Kat. If John chooses to play Ellie first, then he will play Ellie, then Kat, then Elli.

Kat is a better player than Ellie. John's probability of beating Kat is "k", and his probability of beating Ellie is "e", where k < e.

Who should John play first to have the best chance of winning? Why?
