In a local pet store, the cats sell for $10.00 each and the canaries sell for $15.00 each. The total value was $360.00. One night, the owner forgot to close the door and the animals got loose. One-sixth of the cats and half of the canaries disapeared l. If the total value of the remaining animals is $220.00, how many of each was present before the escape

Start with let

the # of escaped cats = C

the # of escaped canaries = Y ..... and continue....
