Hey, I'm working on an assignment and am stumped by two things, I'm not sure where to begin. My first thought is to reorder the variables to isolate x, but see for yourself...

Write an algebraic expression for the given expression.
tan (cos^-1 x/2)

cos(sin^-1(x/9-x))

I'm in Magnet Precalculus, by the way. Thank you!

Write an algebraic expression for the given expression.
tan (cos^-1 x/2)

cos(sin^-1(x/9-x))

Start by working with expression inside the "brackets".

let
cos-1(x/2) = Θ
then
cos (Θ) = x/2
then
sin(Θ) =±(1/2) * √(4 - x2) ................................why?
then
tan(Θ) = sin(Θ)/cos(Θ) = ?

similarly complete the second one.
