For $\displaystyle g(x)= \frac{x- 1}{4}$ you appear to have used Latex. Why did you not use it for f(x)? If you do not use Latex, please use "^" to indicate exponents: "x2" means "x times 2". "x^2" means "x squared". In any case, f(g(5)) means "first find g(5)". That will be some specific number. Then "find f of that number".
