How do I determine point coordinates that are missing on a line using slope and slope triangles

Use the "up and over" (or "back and down") meaning of "slope" to count up ([imath]y[/imath]) and over ([imath]x[/imath]) from one point to another.

First find two know points on the line. Calculate that slope. Then using one know point and one point where the x-value or y-value is unknown and try to figure out that unknown value knowing what the slope between these two points are.

Oh ok thank you so much for this explanation! This really helped!
