So for my homework, I was told to look at a pattern of numbers, and find an equation.:confused: I have inputs, and out puts. The set of numbers were:

2 --> 4
3 --> 8
4 --> 16
5 --> 32

I noticed that the outputs are being multiplied by 2 each time.

2 --> 4
>x2
3 --> 8
>x2
4 --> 16
>x2
5 --> 32

Also, I know that the inputs are consecutive and go up by one.
My teacher said n will be used to represent the nth number. If you could help me, thatd be great! I am horrible at finding formulas, and this is a pretty easy one.:cool:

Maybe these will help?

1 ==> 2
0 ==> 1

That first one is a REALLY big clue.
