Help Me in graph question

What help do you need? Please show us your graph, and whatever other work you've done.

You are given that \(\displaystyle y= x^3- 2x+ 1\) but where did you get the \(\displaystyle y= -x^3- 3x+ 4\) right below it?

For the first problem do you understand that \(\displaystyle p- 3= y(-2)= (-2)^3- 2(-2)+ 1\)? Can you solve that for p?

As I read it, the -3 is written in as the (correct) value of p for part (a). It is confusing.

The \(\displaystyle y= -x^3- 3x- 4\) really means subtracting \(\displaystyle (x^3- 3x- 4)\), apparently for part (c), though I'm not sure why. It may make sense, depending on what is done next.

What we really need is to see the graph, and some clearer work.
