how do I expand this logarithmic equation? i have to expand log(100/x^2y)^2

I presume this is
[imath]log \left [ \left ( \dfrac{100}{x^2y} \right )^2 \right ] [/imath]
If so, then
[imath]log \left [ \left ( \dfrac{100}{x^2y} \right )^2 \right ] = log \left [ \dfrac{100^2}{x^4y^2} \right ] [/imath]
[imath]= log(100^2) - log(x^4) - log(y^2)[/imath]
[imath]= 2 \, log(100) - 4 \, log(x) - 2 \, log(y)[/imath]
Or, if you want to take [imath]100 = 10^2[/imath]
[imath]= 4 \, log(10) - 4 \, log(x) - 2 \, log(y)[/imath]

... and if "log" means the common logarithm (base 10), you can take it further.
