The graph is cup shape - it "clearly" has a minimum value and it has a y-intercept

I'll work with you. You claim that the range is all y-values, fair enough.

Then can you please tell me which x-value(s) give a y-value which is 5? How about -5?

To understand the range you must be able to answer my two questions above. Please post back with the answer.

Please answer jomo's questions. But please also tell us which axis is conventionally deemed the x-axis and which axis the y-axis.
