Please help me with this equation f(x)=4x-6
with explanation please ToT
I don't know inverse function since our teacher haven't taught us that ever since the beginning of online class and he just gave us tons of worksheets to answer TvT thanks

Procedure

1) Write with x and y

y = 4x-6

2) Swap x any, everywhere they appear

x = 4y-6

3) Re-solve for y

x + 6 = 4y
y = (x+6)/4

4) Rewrite with function notation

[math]f^{-1}(x) = \dfrac{x+6}{4}[/math]
5) Check

Show that last step and then show us another problem where you do the work instead of me.

You know how to use Google - don't you?

Just type in "Determine inverse of a function" and you'll find ~150 million websites - with videos and notes to explain to you the topic. So instead of complaining - get to work. Choose a video and go through it. If you don't understand something - let us know "what - where" and we will discuss.
