Hi, I'm having difficulties answering Question 3b - I am unsure of how to work back through the equation to solve d. I've attached my working so far.

Have another look at the formula you have been given. You have said p=vector PQ, etc but that is NOT p.
p is the position vector of point P.
Have another go.

Oh okay, so does p = OP, q=OQ and r=OR?

From here how do I solve for d without trial and error?
