Quadratic Formula I think??

I’ve attached the picture of a question I need help answering (don’t know how to solve it). It was included in a maths spread about the quadratic formula, but I couldn’t figure out how to use the quadratic formula to solve it.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone can explain how to solve it, thanks!

One way to start is to let BP = x. Write expressions for AB and AP, and use those to write an equation representing [imath]AB \times AP = BP^2[/imath].

Now please show whatever you can do, so we can see where you are stuck (starting my way or any other way you like).
