The maximum time, T, in minutes a scuba diver without stopping for decompression on the way up the surface is defined by the T(d) =525/d-10 with d>10, where d is the depth of the dive, in meters. For the maximum time to be less than 30 minutes, how deep can the diver dive ?

a) Solution with conclusion
b) State the asymptotes and their meaning in context of the problem
 
1) 525/d-10 is NOT the same as 525/(d-10)
2) Why, do you suppose, the problem statement bothered to mention "d > 10"?
 
Please help me solve this, it is very confusing for me, I know d>10 and maximum time should be less than 30 min.

Have you considered solving T = 30? What value of d results?

You must interpret the results and make conclusions. It's not a solve and move on osrt of problem statement.
