Write the slope-intercept form of the equation of the line described.
through: (2,-2), perp. to y=2/5x-5
I just need exact instuctions on how to do this please

Hint

use graph paper...
draw ANY line with slope 2/5
carefully draw a second line at right angle to it;
what is the slope of the second line?

What is the slope of the line y= (2/5)x- 5? (Notice the parentheses. What you give would normally be interpreted as "y= 2/(5x)- 5" which is not a line.)

What is the slope of a line perpendicular to that line?

The "point slope" equation of a line through point \(\displaystyle (x_0, y_0)\) with slope m is \(\displaystyle y= m(x- x_0)+ y_0\). The "slope intercept" form is \(\displaystyle y= mx- (mx_0- y_0)\)
