well I am having problem with this problem :
0.3x-0.2(3-5x)= -0.5(x-6)

okay so far I have 0.3x-0.6+1.0=-0.5x+3.0 but from there I am not sure where to go from there.

Be careful when doing these types of problems.

FYI -0.2(3-5x) does not = -0.6+1.0

-0.2(3-5x) = -.6 + x

Problem just missed that part so i thought i would point that out to you.

Here is what i came up with. Have any questions just ask.

Go HERE.

The basic strategy is to get all terms containing x on one side of the equation with everything else on the other side. Combine like terms. Then you can multiply both sides by the reciprocal of the number in front of x (called the coefficient), to finish.
