Vector Help

Hey Lads.

Can someone please Identify the name of this type of vector so I look up how to solve it? Is it a triple Product vector? Is U,V and W the total of the I, J and K? I don't want an answer to the solution I just want to learn how to solve.

"The name of the vector"?? No, this is not a "triple product" or anything at all complicated. It involves "scalar multiplication" and "addition of vectors". If u= 4i+ 3j+ 5k can you find 8u? If u= 3i+ 4j- 5k and v= 4i- 7j+ 3k do you know how to find u+ v?
 
8u-8v+5w is a vector just as u, v and w are vetoes. All 4 vectors are in R3
 
Yes thank you guys so much!!! I think I got it now. The answer is -46i, -16j, +50k

So U,V,W is the vector once it has had the scalar added to it. I applied the scalar for each vector then added up the i,j,k

u x i,j,k
v x i,j,k
w x i,j,k

i+i+i
j+j+j
w+w+w

That was rather easy once you explained it. Cheers
