Domain

The x-values on a simple x-y plot. These are the input values into a function. The function is valid across the whole domain. Simple linear functions have a domain of all real numbers, but more complicated functions may have specific domains. For example, y=4/(x-1) has a domain of all real numbers except for x=1.
