Hi,

I have solved all these problems but i wana make sure from you all that i have solved it correctly or not. Please response to my this post as soon as possible. I appreciate it!

14/x^2-1 + 1/x-1 = 3/x+1

= LCD is (x-1)(x+1)
= (x-1)(x+1).14/(x^2-1) + (x-1)(x+1).1/(x-1) = (x-1)(x+1).3/(x+1)
=14 + 1x + 1 = 3x-3
=15 + 1x = 3x -3
=15 +1x -1x = 3x -3 -1x
=15 +3 = 2x -3 + 3
= 18 =2x
= 9 = x (ANSWER)

3a+6/2a+2.a^2-a-2/a^2-4

=3(a+2)/2(a+1).(a-2)(a+1)/(a-2)(a+2)
=3/2 (ANSWER)

1/x^2-2x-3 + 2/x^2+2x+1

= 1(x+1)/(x-3)(x+1)(x+1) + 2(x-3)/(x+1)(x+1)(x-3)
=x+1+2x-6/(x+1)^2(x-3)
=3x-5/(x+1)^2(x-3) ANSWER

solve each formula for the indicated veriable:

y+1/x-2 = 2/3, for y

(x-2).y+1/(x-2) = (x-2).2/3
y+1 = 2/3x -2
y=2/3x-3(ANSWER)

Thank you!

Hello, sana125!

[You really should start using parentheses!]

The first three are correct . . . nice work!

Solve each formula for the indicated veriable:

(y + 1)/(x - 2) = 2/3, for y

( x -2),(y + 1)/(x - 2) = (x - 2).(2/3)

y + 1 = 2/3x - 2 . . . no
You have: . (2/3) (x - 2) . . . which becomes: . (2/3)x - 4/3

Hi Soroban,

I am confuse how did you get (2/3)x - 4/3???

Can you please explain it for me i appreciate it.
Thanks

Soroban,

I think i got it! But i got different answer please let me know i am doing it right or not?
Thanks

y+1/x-2 = 2/3

(x-2). y+1/(x-2) = 2/3(x-2)
y+1 =2/3x-4/3
y = 2/3x - 4/3 -1

y = 2/3x-5/3Answer
